I have an ETA of tomorrow for my copy. I'll put a full review up, but like I said in my beta testing notes, it looks damn fun. Also MOH is going modern and due out around the same time as COD7.

P.S. my OC is 100% stable hornet, ran prime 95 for 2 hours and played battlefield beta for over 5.

That's fantastic M2 - now post your 3D Mark 06 scores and compare them with mine - heh heh!  Check out the post "My Computer Upgrade"

Nah, that's really great M2 that you actually got your computer overclocked to where it is and stable to boot - that shows your knowledge of OC'ing
and of course, good components.

But I'd like to see your 3D Mark 06 scores with stock settings and scores with it overclocked. Nice to see how much of a performance boost the overclocking gives you.

My Battlefield Bad Company 2 will be arriving tomorrow. Reviews put the games Single Player as very good.

To be honest the Beta test had a more stable multiplayer. It's harder to join games and sometimes you can lose connection on the map rotation. All in all a solid game, I'm already rank 6 and kicking some ass.

Shocked  Shocked  Shocked

I am  just playing Battlefield Bad Company Single Player - I just finished the mission where you get the Black Box. Graphice are good, but all those cut scenes everytime you turn around is a bit annoying.
Really nothing new compared to MW and MW2 except a bit more destructability. Still a little scripted, but am enjoying it somewhat.  Just love the Helicopter pilot - Ghost Rider - he's funnier than hell.

I would say this game on SP is much like Modern Warfare 2 - Just a clone.

Haven't tried Multiplayer, so not sure if I like the game completely yet.

I have a driving wheel attached to my computer and had to unplug it as the keyboard and mouse controls went all haywire with it plugged in - disconnecting it fixed the controls. Funny stuff becuse any other game I have on my computer is not affected by having the wheel connected. Just a little quirk in the game I suppose. Might be Windows 7 for all I know.

M2 and anyone else who has played Single Player in the game - give your 2 cents worth.

Very Happy  Very Happy  Very Happy

M2 - here's the scoop on the Multi Player for BFBC2;

DICE has announced a second patch for the PC version of Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

In a post on the game's official forums, the developer revealed the patch will address the connection issues some users are experiencing.

The post also states that there are more people playing the PC version of the multiplayer game than on PS3 or Xbox 360.

“btw: PC currently has more people playing and are in game servers than both the consoles.

To the Clan;

Are we going to adopt this game as an official game for our servers - I think the MP is going to be great.
Lets take a vote on this one.

The multiplayer is a hell of a trip. I'm rank 19 already. I am waiting for the modded servers to come online, there are hardcore servers. To me this is what COD MW2 should have been. My biggest issue is with TDM, 16 players only, and it's 4 squads of 4. The conquest(capture the flag) and rush modes(think of a search and destroy-plant the bomb mission but each time 2 targets are destroyed it moves the game along, some maps there are 2 sets of targets some maps there are 4). The vehicles can be a pain, but they are destroyable. If you get the angle right you can shoot through a helicopter's canopy and kill  the pilot. I haven't played much single player so I can't comment on that hornet.

Some cool things: brick walls will stop machine gun fire but not the 40mm grenade or a rocket. There are a lot of weapons, 6-7 per class and there are 4 classes. I've had to jump out of buildings as they collapsed around me, that was very cool. I've gotten kills by destroying the building too. The knife is different, it's like a super sprint to try and slit the guy open. It's both easy(if the guy doesnt move) and very difficult(if the guy runs around). All in all a solid 9/10.  I've logged over 15 hours so far.

I haven't gotten the game yet. Can we run our own server?

Yes, Battlefield Bad Company 2  Multiplayer supports up to 24 players, and runs on PC-dedicated servers.

Oh. BTW - I got my problem with the driving wheel fixed. I just went in and changed the Joystick values and now I can have the wheel plugged in and it won't interfere with the mouse or keyboard.

Most games have an option to turn off Joystick Support but couldn't find it in BFBC2. All is well.

Finished SP last night - took me about 6 hours of play in total on the Easy setting - now playing it on the Normal setting.

Joined a MP server last night and was kicked by PB after 2 minutes of play - the game is still having connection problems - hope they fix it soon.
