I just spent 2 1\2 hours getting two 3870's working with multiple monitors.
I had to uninstall all ATI drivers and profiles.
Uninstall graphics cards (in Device Manager)
Installed each card individually . I installed one card then removed it and installed the other.(to make sure that they indeed worked)
Installed both cards (with single bridge)
Re installed Catalyst drivers.
Then both cards finally worked in a multiple monitor configuration.
I haven't activated the crossfire yet. wish me luck.

Well I got it up and running with both cards and two monitors. no BSOD's. I realized a real performance boost with crossfire!

Very Happy  Very Happy  Very Happy

I'm glad it worked for you - I know what it's like to come across problems either in installing hardware or software.
Sometimes you just want to pull your hair out or throw the computer out the window.

If anyone could have fixed the problem - it was you. Great stuff Geek.

Now have one, sit back and relax and breathe in your success - a Job Well Done Sir.

Good job Geek. I hope it will be easier when I put my 2nd 5870 in later this year. Enjoy the new improved gaming experience!
